Recipe for Roast Beef Tea Sandwiches

These roast beef tea sandwiches would normally be served at high tea.

High tea - also referred to as evening tea - is served around 6 or 7 PM and it often takes the place of the evening meal. During high tea, you usually will find that the menu consists of cold meat sandwiches and some vegetables as well as some sweets.

These roast beef sandwiches are so easy to make and the horseradish adds a nice kick to it without making them overly spicy. At my house, they were kid approved which is always a very good sign.

Tea Sandwich Recipes: Roast Beef

  • A package roast beef lunch meat

  • A loaf the bread of your choice

Note: Be careful if you use whole grain breads as they readily fall apart when cut.

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon horseradish

Make the spread by mixing the mayonnaise, sour cream and horseradish together. Spread a thin layer of this mixture on each slice of bread. Place a piece of sliced roast beef on the bread, then place another piece of bread on top.

Repeat this process until you have enough sandwiches.
