Some Ideas for Mexican Teas
Cinco de Mayo Teas

Mexican teas are exotic and delicious.

Mexico is a beautiful country with a deep history. Its teas represent various areas of Mexico as well as its many various cultures.

Here are some fun facts about Mexico:

  • Pineapple and papayas - these wonderful, juicy, tropical fruits - grew wild in Mexico. They were introduced to the rest of the world by Spanish explorers.

  • Around the 1860s, three American travelers began exporting resin from the Zapote Blanco tree found in Mexico after they noticed that it hardened when exposed to air. These clever men found a way to turn it into a waxy substance with some added flavors and sweeteners, and sold it in small balls for a penny a piece - calling it "Adam's Chewing Gum." You guessed it, they invented the chewing gum! And today, Americans chew more chewing gun than any other nation on earth! Seven times more to be exact!

  • The vanilla bean comes from an orchid plant discovered by Mexican Indians. They used it to add flavor to their cocoa and corn drinks. The world's largest crop of vanilla beans still comes from Mexico.

So why don't you try some of these teas for yourself and then please, come back and leave a review.
