Best Lemon Curd Recipe Ingredients


  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice - about 5 to 6 lemons

  • 2 whole eggs

  • 2 tablespoons of butter






Method for Best Lemon Curd Recipe

In a stand mixer - or with a hand held mixer - combine the sugar and the eggs on high until the mixture is very frothy. Add the lemon juice and combine. Your mixture will curdle.

Pour this mixture into a saucepan and place it on medium to high heat. From this point on, you must not leave this mixture unattended. With a whisk continually mix the sauce until it thickens. When it has thickened, pull it off the stove and add the butter. Combine until it is melted.

Pour unto a container and immediately place a plastic film over your lemon curd so that a skin does not form. Place into the fridge and cool completely before using. Your lemon curd will thicken more as it sits.
