Garden Tea Party Ideas

We were planning a garden tea party and it was the middle of the summer...in the Southwest.

My oldest daughter was turning ten and she wanted a garden party. What garden? Didn't she see that our yard consisted of dirt, cactus and whatever vegetation can live through 110 degree summers? ....basically the greenery was mostly weeds. So garden tea party?

Heck, we are "strong women" in this arid Southwest and a little heat and a little dirt would NOT deter us from making her 10th birthday memorable. As our little girl was on the doorstep of womanhood she wanted a "girly" tea party with flowers and by golly we would make it happen...inside...where there is air conditioning thank you very much!

So these are the ideas we had and I pray that they are a help to you as well.

If you live where you are blessed to have beautiful green gardens full of colorful blooms, it is all the better. But as we saw it, our imaginations knew no limit even if the vegetation did.
